pros: It's convenient since it's small. Good to have an estimate of your luggage weight when you don't have a scale around.

cons: It's hard to hold 50 lbs with one arm, which is what you need to do to get an accurate read. I had to use both my arms but made the measurement really hard (it's very hard to stabilize the scale).

I will still use it to weigh my luggage since this is the only scale I have around the house. However, I think I will use it more to weigh lighter items. I don't have the arm strength to lift my 50-lb luggage with one hand.
